
Sykes Postgraduate Research Studentships in Italian (Masters)
The Sykes postgraduate research studentship in Italian with the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics (MMLL) at ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ is available to outstanding UK candidatesÌýapplying for courses starting in October 2023.Ìý The studentship isÌýfunded by a generous donation from the Keith Sykes Fund and is usually combined with matching funding from ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ colleges or from the ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ Vice-Chancellor's and International Trusts.
There are three courses with Italian pathways in MMLL: European, Latin American and Comparative Literature and Cultures; Theoretical and Applied Linguistics; Film and Screen Studies.
Studentships will cover fees up to the standard UK / ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ level and maintenance costs, either wholly or in ‘mosaic-funding’ combination with other grants and loans. ÌýIt is a condition of application that candidates apply for all other ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ grants for which they are eligible (. All MMLL candidates with a predominant research interest in Italian will automatically be considered for a Sykes Studentship, subject to this condition.
