Getting around town

Perhaps you’re thinking of getting back in the saddle but your trusty steed needs a bit of attention? There are regular ‘Dr Bike’ events held around ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ. A Bikeworks mechanic will spend 20 minutes checking over your machine and replace selected parts for free. View the events listing to see what’s coming up.
Taking to the roads can be a worry if you haven’t done it for a while. Did you know there is cycle training for adults available through the ? The is a great resource for planning journeys by bike.
There’s a University on the West ÃÜÌÒÊÓÆµ site which has secure bike parking and lockers for your kit. You can also walk or get the bus into the city centre if you don’t want to cycle in.

It is such a fun and easy way to roam through the city feeling - for the most part – safe. I would recommend them as an alternative to biking for when you don’t feel like pedalling, although not on a daily basis as they are not very cheap!â€
