Reading Lists Online

provide easy access to your course reading lists. They show the location and availability of print books and link to ebooks, articles and websites, videos, and digitised chapters.

Ebooks

The ÃÜÌÒÊÓƵ has access to more than 1.75 million ebooks from a wide variety of publishers and over 65 ebook platforms. Most ebooks are licensed for ÃÜÌÒÊÓƵ University members only and require a University account for access outside of the University network. 

Ebook functionality varies from platform to platform. The includes useful information and tips for making the best use of them. 

Ejournals

The University provides access to thousands of electronic and print journals, which you can access from the .

The allows you to browse scholarly journals available for University users by title and subject area and create your own journal and article library.

LibGuides

LibGuides are online resources created by ÃÜÌÒÊÓƵ librarians to share information about the services they offer and help you get the most out of our collections. The MMLL Library maintains three LibGuides:

Databases

The list offers access to hundreds of databases, digital archive collections, and primary sources. It features resources in several languages and relevant to diverse subject areas.

Electronic Legal Deposit

The University Library has , meaning that it receives a copy of every book published in the UK. Some titles are provided as ebooks. These are shown on iDiscover with a red note saying, 'Electronic Legal Deposit' (ELD). This material can be accessed in designated computers across ÃÜÌÒÊÓƵ. The MMLL Library's terminal sits on the second floor of the library.

Please be aware that with ELD:  

  • Only one user at a time is possible per book
  • It is not possible to download, email, copy and paste, or take screenshots of the book
