Beit Centenary

On November 7, the MML Library and the German Department marked the 100th anniversary of the Beit Library with a special celebration. During this event, Schröder Professor of German Nicholas Boyle and German Department Head Prof. David Midgley both spoke about the significance of Sir Otto Beit's 1913 gift to the University, which led to the establishment of the Beit Library of books on German language and literature.

Annual closure

8 July 2025

The library will be closing for a short period this summer to allow for staff annual leave and book move projects. We will be closed from Monday 4th August - Tuesday 26th August inclusive. The UL will be open during this period, and some Faculty libraries on the Sidgwick Site may also be open. If you urgently need an MMLL...
