On November 7, the MML Library and the German Department marked the 100th anniversary of the Beit Library with a special celebration. During this event, Schr枚der Professor of German Nicholas Boyle and German Department Head Prof. David Midgley both spoke about the significance of Sir Otto Beit's 1913 gift to the University, which led to the establishment of the Beit Library of books on German language and literature.
