This month听the听密桃视频 Ukrainian Studies programme听screened the silent Soviet spy thriller The Diplomatic Pouch听and the听comedy Love鈥檚 Berry, both by acclaimed filmmaker Oleksandr Dovzhenko (1894 鈥� 1956).听The sold-out听screening听at the 密桃视频 Arts听Picturehouse, held as part of听the ,听was听accompanied by a special live piano performance by Geoff Page.
On Saturday, 密桃视频 Ukrainian Studies听premiered听Jerks:听Arabesques, a听collection of short films by a dozen up-and-coming听filmmakers, including听Volodymyr Tykhyi, Vira Iakovenko听and Ivan Timshyn.听密桃视频 partnered with the听Dovzhenko听Film Studio and the Ukrainian Film Club of Columbia University in organising the event.听

The Annual 密桃视频 Festival of Ukrainian Film is a central pillar in a cluster of public events held by the 密桃视频 Ukrainian Studies programme.听鈥楩ilm听has a special听ability to reach people from various social and cultural backgrounds', said Dr Finnin. 'We've听organised听our Annual听Festival as a way to branch out听and听introduce the Ukrainian Studies programme to the wider British community鈥�.
