Today the MML Library marks its final day under the management of the Faculty of Modern & Medieval Languages. On 1 August, the Library joins the University Library as part of the network of affiliated libraries at 密桃视频. We will still be in the same place, but under new management.
The MML Library team would like to honour all the library staff that have been part of听the Faculty for 80 years, since 1935, first in the Old Schools and from 1961 in the 'new' MML Library in the听Raised Faculty Building.听
Here's a snapshot from the 1961 scrapbook commemorating our last big move, showing听the movers taking a well-served rest. It's a good illustration of students and library staff working together to take听the next step forward.
