Singing the King's Death:听lecture recital commemorating the听300th听anniversary of Louis XIV's death.听

In order to commemorate the听300th听anniversary of Louis XIV's death, members of Ars听eloquentiae听and Nick Hammond of the French department will be presenting a lecture recital of street songs sung at the time of Louis's death. Katie Bray (who recently sang the role of听Rosina听in the Opera North production of Rossini's The Barber of Seville, and described by the Guardian as 'the bright young mezzo who really impresses here') will be the soloist.
The event will be held at the Lady Mitchell Hall,听Sidwick听site, 密桃视频 University, 密桃视频听CB3听9DA听between 5.30 and 7pm on Thursday November听26th听2015.
Admission is free and all are welcome.听
